Is this a very popular name?

What are your thoughts on it? I currently really like it, both as a full name and the potential nicknames.

Love it.

Nn Hattie.

NewYearNiki · 18/01/2018 23:24

It's ok.

It's a bit twee.

stopbeingadramallama · 19/01/2018 02:26

Really don't like it.

NargleFlargleZoobah · 19/01/2018 03:01

I like it. Nice, sensible, suits all ages, cute nickname options.

Zampa · 19/01/2018 03:04

Seems to be popular - I know a few baby Harriets. It's a nice name though, hence its popularity.

NNs include Hattie, Haz and Harry for those I know.

SuperBeagle · 19/01/2018 03:41

It's not particularly popular where I live, but is in the top 100 and has increased significantly in relative popularity over the last 5 years (went from not being in the top 100, to be no. 75 in 2016).

I don't like it though. I like Hattie, and like Harry for a boy, but I can't warm to Harriet for some reason.

AmberTopaz · 19/01/2018 04:03

I don’t think it’s very popular although I do know a couple. I like it!

ChocolateCrunch · 19/01/2018 06:43

I like it. I only know 2, both adults. Usually called by their names in full, but sometimes, Hattie, Harri or Ettie.

pilates · 19/01/2018 06:44

I like it very much, I only know one and she is nearly 3

SoftBlocks · 19/01/2018 06:49

There are nicer names. It’s ok. I knew a lovely cat called Harriet once and it really suited her.

Chocolatecake12 · 19/01/2018 06:49

It’s my favourite girls name and it what I would have called ds who is now 16. Then it wasn’t as popular as it is now but it’s not like you hear it loads. I know one aged 22 and one aged 2.

mondler · 20/01/2018 19:13

I think its starting to get more popular but it isn't in the top 20 or anything. I used to hate it but have really warmed to it in the last few years and now it's on our list! It's elegant, pretty, suits all ages, everyone has heard of it and there's lots of possible nns.

user1472334322 · 21/01/2018 17:47

I know one, who is 7. She's a real character and really suits her name. I think Harriet is a great name!

Stringofpearls · 21/01/2018 18:51

I love the nickname Hattie, but not so keen on the full name Harriet.

MikeUniformMike · 21/01/2018 19:47

It's very popular. I quite like Hattie but not Harry for a girl.

TallulahBetty · 21/01/2018 19:50

Dated.

ifIwasinvisiblewaitIalreadyam · 21/01/2018 20:07

The only Harriet I heard of was off greys anatomy (April and Jackson's baby). It's sooo cute :) x

Ohmyfuck · 21/01/2018 20:11

I love it. Ettie or Hattie. Cute. :-)

MancUnicorn · 21/01/2018 20:20

Not personally a fan, but I can see why people like it. Know an eight-year old, two toddlers and two adults with the name. Definitely more popular in the south. Like the nicknames Hattie and Harry xx

BlackberryandNettle · 22/01/2018 18:21

I reckon it's getting trendy, if that bothers you. I know two, a toddler and a baby so definitely on the rise.

daisypond · 22/01/2018 19:03

It's getting popular. I don't like it at all. It's a 19th-century "servant" name to me.

pipilangstrumpf · 22/01/2018 20:20

I don't like it at all. I find it harsh sounding, especially the Harri part.
