Currently pregnant with DC2.

Talking with DP and we both like the name Isobel

What are others thoughts?

That was my choice but there are loads of Isabels/Isabelles around here so I figured there would be a few in classes when she’s older and she’d constantly have to correct her misspelt name! Such a shame cause I love it!

Finola1step · 15/01/2018 20:20

I love it. But then I am biased as I have one of my own! We have found that Izzy is v popular but most are Isabelle or Isabel. The Isobel spelling is far less frequent. Good choice.

helenoftroyville · 15/01/2018 20:24

Love it! Love it!

RavenWings · 15/01/2018 20:26

I do think that Isabelle/Isabel/Isobel are ten a penny at the moment, and tbh as a teacher they all sort of blend together. Similar to Eva/Ava/Evie etc. But it's a grand name so if popularity isn't a worry, go for it.

autumncountryrose · 15/01/2018 20:27

Lovely name - although I'm very biased as that's the name we've chosen for our little one due in a couple of weeks!

ThorsMistress · 15/01/2018 20:38

I didn’t think of the potentially having to correct the spelling!

I know a lot of Isabelles/Isobels/Isabels. A lot.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 15/01/2018 21:04

Love Isobel, and this is my favourite spelling.

AutumnalTed · 15/01/2018 21:07

Don’t really care if it’s outing because I post boring stuff but that’s my name with the same spelling, 3 in my year at school all spelled differently but I don’t have to correct spellings. Had an appointment and the lady said is that i s o b e l. Everyone calls me izz, but my mum calls me bel.

TiffTaffTop · 15/01/2018 21:14

Only 3 and in different years at my DD's infant school. Most common is Ava/Eva/Evie. Do it! Lovely name.

ThorsMistress · 15/01/2018 21:20

DP suggested it and I immediately fell in love with it. Now for a middle name!

It’s lovely. Popular for a reason!
