A name as fabulous as Anna

I have an Anna and love her name. I can't find another which feels as right.
Something classic, timeless and international.
Possibly like Lucia or Maria.
Any ideas? Thanks

Maria was my first thought, such a beautiful name.

Siblings called Anna and Maria might be a bit much. How about Marie?

Lucia and Livia are good international names.

Elena

I like Helena (as in Kennedy).

Oh gosh not May- she would feel totally short changed! The humdrum default middle name of the last ten years!!

Rose is lovely, and is similar to Anna in that it is a very short 'plain' classic.

Jane?

Your other options are to match Anna in shortness and beauty with names that are not universal 'classics' - Hebe, Juno, Inga, Vita.

Or, try and get the universal European feel- a name that travels like Anna but is not similar: Beatrice, Claudia, Saskia.

fizzy

Names like Elena, Caroline, Isabella, Sara, Victoria and Cornelia would be rather ‘pan-European’ as well (imo).

Especially Elena, which is used in pretty much all parts of Europe.

I love my own name which is very uncommon and means something so happy and positive

Cloudhopping · 11/01/2018 12:35

Rose is beautiful with Anna. Love love love both names. Ageless and classy.

Anna and Lily is lovely!

CharizMa · 11/01/2018 23:13

yes, they 'weigh' the same Confused I hope you know what I mean!

If you pair another name with Anna, it's almost always going to seem fussier, stronger, frillier and less substantial.

Beth, Kate, Leila, Zoe, Lara, Zara and Lily work well with Anna imo.
