Names like Cupid

Hi! So, I've only just recently joined Mumsnet and I am completely engrossed in my writing. However, I suck at picking names. My main character will be playing Cupid, but I don't want her to have that name.

Does anybody have any other similar female names or names that sound like Cupid? If so, please share!

Thanks a lot,

Aphrodite? Goddess of love...
Good luck with the writing!

Venus - goddess of love

Loveday.
Doesn’t sound like Cupid, but has connotations of it.

Carys, meaning love.

Vida, meaning dearly loved.

???

You could use Cara - in Irish it means friend which may fit in with the Cupid playing theme but also then can also mean beloved and has in roots in various “love” names.

Thank you all for responding so quickly! I think I'm going to use either Carys (which is Welsh, just like me!) or Aphrodite!

And thank you @thereareworsethingsicoulddo for the good luck! I'm going to start writing today!

Also, Cara is a name I may or may not use. It's such a pretty name!

If you’re welsh how about Cariad?
