Thoughts on Clancy, anselm, what else?

We are having a boy. Clancy would be my name choice but, we already have a finley and I would like to keep the option of Audrey for a girl in the future and Finley Clancy and Audrey is all very ‘eyyy’. Thoughts on this or Anselm? (I’m trying to sell my dh on anselm) Anything else we might like?

Clancy is a first name too, there is a famous Australian poem about a Clancy :) what do people think of the 3 ee sounds together for sibling names? I really do like these two , Xavier, Clarence , ambrose , and Archie are all on the list too but I don’t like them as much except maybe Clarence which dh doesn’t like.

Really don't like Clancy or Anselm. Anselm just doesn't seem like a first name to me and it doesn't 'go with' Finley. Clancy reminds me of Abby Clancy and does make me think of a surname. Clancy is also a very drippy name (sorry).

Clancy, Anselm, Ambrose and Clarence are all ugly, clumsy sounding names. I like Xavier and might have used it for a son if it wasn't for people saying it as Ex-avier.

Audrey makes me think of Audrey Roberts from Corrie.

Clancy is the vomiting dog in the James herriot stories.

Hmm lots to think about! Francis is an option IVflytrap , we discussed a couple of the others (Laurence , Magnus) but not winning it for us.

I've never come across Clancy as a first name. I only know it as a surname and it reminds me of these sexy beasts, the Clancy Brothers.

I find Anselm quite a tricky word to say. Not many English words end in 'lm' so the sound doesn't seem to come naturally to me.

As a child I thought it was Anslem which is easier to say.
