Saw the Greatest Showman yesterday which made me wonder if Phineas is one of those unusual but not too out there names. Nn Phin is cool too

I have a friend with this name, I don't like it, sorry!

I like Finnian and Fintan though

Figrollsnotfatrolls · 03/01/2018 15:07

I have a Fynn and we sometimes lengthen it for laughs to Phineas!!

RavenWings · 03/01/2018 19:33

I think it's an awful yoke of a name, personally. As above Finn, Fintan (Finbar, even Fionan?) are nice.

PemberleyP · 03/01/2018 20:12

I like it and think it’s wearable. I know two boys called Maximus, plus a Thaddeus and a Cornelius. This seems like the same kind of deal. As a pp said, he could always shorten to Phin/Fin if he wanted something more mainstream.

AlmostChristmas · 03/01/2018 20:24

Sorry but yes another vote for Fern...

FreddieClaryHorshieLion · 03/01/2018 20:57

A perfectly fine name imo :)

I also like Philemon.

Glumglowworm · 03/01/2018 21:02

And Ferb

I don’t even know who they are but it’s my first thought

Phin just seems pretentious

Jedigirl29 · 05/01/2018 11:02

If you choose that name he needs a brother called Ferb 😂

I like the name, but please get a small dog called Perry!
