We made a thread last night and truthfully it was a real eye-opener. We had no idea both names were so disliked. Tiffany we thought sounded sweet, it is also my Nanas middle name so I have a soft spot for. Bridget is just a name we really liked, especially because of the nickname "Bree/Bri" and also the possible "Jett"
DH and I are still TTC, had difficulties but hoping this year will be our year so just been playing around with names.
One other name we really liked was Aria, problem with that is the ONLY boys names we love is Ezra. So it would be too PLL if we had a girl and then later on a boy.
Do any of you perhaps have some other girl name suggestions? We arent too sure on what our style is but we quite like names which are unheard of for girls. We already have a boy name (Ezra) we just cant seem to think of any girls names which arent trendy or overpopular. Thank you xx

I'm sorry another name we saw (if I recall i think it was in a name book) was Anaïs but that got bad reviews from both sides of our family as it is 'old'. So opinions on this name would also be helpful. Truthfully, we are at a complete loss xx

A lifetime of corrections with the name Anais I'm afraid. You will get so many variations. However it is nice, very well er French!

I would like to suggest my youngest daughter's name. I fell in love with the name. My husband's stepmother introduced it to me. Her name is GéMee. I was told that it meant precious jewel. I have yet to see the name and definition in writing for myself, but I loved the name so much and we wanted to honor my husband sister so we went with it.

I just posted this on your other thread, but I'll post it here too Grin

I still like Tiffany and Bridget, and if you do too then that's all that matters.

If you have a soft spot for Tiffany because of your Grandma, then use it regardless what other's say. Yes it was a lot more popular of a name in the 80s than it is today, but that just means she'll be unique on the playground.

I also agree that if you like Ezra, Aria might not be the best choice (PLL).

However, if you're looking for some other ideas, then how about:

Ingrid
Nicole
Jodie
Scarlett
Juliet
Josephine
Stephanie
Hayley
Bryony
Bronte
Nora
Rhea/Ria
Rosalie
Felicity
Verity

Brigid / Brighid Tiffany is lovely imo.

(I also like Britta, Birgit, and Birgitta, but those might not work in English speaking countries)

Biance Tiffany is lovely imo.

Brianna, Bernadette, Anouk, Odette, Annika, Dahlia, Eileen, Heather, Erica, Edith, Matilda, Bronwen, Alina, Ailsa, Freya, Iona, Flora, Morag, Morven, Morwenna, Allina, Catriona, Davina, Eilidh, Skye, Astrid, Annora, Margot.

horatioisabrick · 04/01/2018 14:38

*Bianca Tiffany is also nice imo.

I honestly love Brigid / Brighid but Bridget looks so... Idk, clunky and fusty imo.

I rather like Tiffany as a middle name.

ErrantBakedBean · 04/01/2018 16:21

If you considered Anaïs, Anouk could be a contender. Also my friend has a Bridget and I think it's really sweet.

mum2be2boys · 04/01/2018 17:05

I love the name Bridget! If I'd had a girl then her middle name would have been Bridget.

If you like it, stick with it :-)

DramaAlpaca · 04/01/2018 17:11

Bridget is a lovely name & I like your nn suggestions too.

If you both love it, go for it. It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, especially randoms on here!

BlueChampagne · 05/01/2018 19:35

Terry Pratchett has an excellent heroine called Tiffany if that's any help. Personally prefer Bridget.

TabbyCat864 · 05/01/2018 19:42

As I posted on your other thread, I like Tiffany. If you like it, go for it.

However, I wouldn't worry too much about names just yet. You're still TTC and may like entirely different names when pregnant. And when you see your baby, they may suit a certain name.

I don't like Ezra because the a ending is very feminine.

Aria is very popular and not to my taste. It's very American.

EgremontRusset · 05/01/2018 19:47

Aria is popular! www.google.co.uk/amp/www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/how-popular-your-baby-name-8788273.amp
