We have a newborn daughter called Veronika and we are struggling to decide on her middle name. What sounds better Veronika Lucy or Veronika Rosie (Rose)? Thx

RosaBaby2 · 30/12/2017 09:36

I think Veronica Rose is best.

Congratulations Flowers

Veronika Rose ❤️

BewareOfTheToddler · 30/12/2017 09:36

Veronika Lucy

RosaBaby2 · 30/12/2017 09:37

Please excuse my post, it autocorrected to Veronica (I wasn't suggesting you change the spelling!)

ChocolateCrunch · 30/12/2017 09:38

Veronika Lucy

I don’t think Veronika Rosie flows right. Veronika Lucy and Veronika Rose both work.
I really like Lucy as a beautiful, simple name.

Smoliver · 30/12/2017 11:06

Veronika Lucy has a nice flow to it

Rose or Rosie.

Is the emphasis on her name more European or British? Is it on the "ni" part or the "ro" part? I think that might make a difference to the flow of the two names together?

Timide · 30/12/2017 15:20

Good point. We want to stress out both (European and English). That is why the second name is kept short, classic and simple. Her short name in the family is Nika.

Veronika Rose is nicest

youarenotkiddingme · 30/12/2017 17:31

Veronika Rose.

I've always thought names with multiple syllables need a short middle name. It has a lovely ring to it.

Congratulations Thanks

youarenotkiddingme · 30/12/2017 17:32

It goes nicely with your choice of nn too.

I was thinking about Ronnie and how Ronnie Rosie and Ronnie Lucy are a bit of a mouthful Grin

starzig · 30/12/2017 17:41

Rose. Less common
