What are your thoughts on Christian? I've always liked the name and used to know a gorgeous little bit named Christian so have positive associations. Not keen at all on nn Chris though, Kit is ok but i prefer just Christian. Thoughts?

Love it, it was the only name my husband and I agreed on when I was pregnant with DS2. When he was born I had such a horrid time that husband agreed to my first choice name but Christian holds a special place in my heart. And I preferred Kit to Chris too

BuzzLightyearsHoneyBun · 23/12/2017 21:51

I should add, I didn’t bully husband to go with my first choice! DS3 looked like the bane would suit him and 3 years down the line it really does!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 23/12/2017 22:58

Prefer the spelling Kristian (Kit).

naymechaynger · 23/12/2017 23:06

I love it, but I'm biased as I have one. He is never known as Chris, but i guess as he grows older it will be his choice (I would also push for Kit!)

kaytee87 · 24/12/2017 06:12

I like it

Ohyesiam · 24/12/2017 06:32

I really like it. And kit is a gorgeous shortening for either spelling.

hevonbu · 24/12/2017 06:32

A good Scandinavian name, quite common.

Glumglowworm · 24/12/2017 16:38

I know an 11 year old Christian who is only ever Christian not Chris

But I don’t think I would use a name if I really didn’t like one of the most likely shortenings

RavenWings · 24/12/2017 16:47

I love it. But if you really don't like Chris avoid it, it's a very natural shortening for it and you can't really control the name.

kaytee87 · 24/12/2017 20:35

I know two Christians and neither have been shortened to Chris

MollyHuaCha · 24/12/2017 21:13

Love this name.

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 25/12/2017 11:27

I quite like it.

UsernameInvalid66 · 25/12/2017 20:47

I love it for the sound, but could never use it as I feel it sounds like a very "religious" name and I'm not religious at all. For what it's worth, none of the Christians I've ever known (about 5 in all, some of them German) have ever been shortened.

Bananalanacake · 25/12/2017 21:11

I've got one. Mine is German as it's popular in Germany and Denmark .Chris is usually short for Christopher.

Onedayhey · 25/12/2017 21:12

Love it.

froshiechipandbrickie · 25/12/2017 22:14

I personally really don't like it, tbh.

pipilangstrumpf · 26/12/2017 07:43

I would assume you are christian.

FuckingHateHappy · 26/12/2017 07:47

My boy is Christian xxx

FuckingHateHappy · 26/12/2017 07:49

Meant to add that I love it, no other name was close to it, even DS2 ...

BossWitch · 26/12/2017 07:51

I like it - have taught a couple and they've always been Christian, not Chris.

Carouselfish · 26/12/2017 17:02

I like it but worry about religious assumptions so probably wouldn't.

MikeUniformMike · 26/12/2017 18:46

It's a bit too religious if you aren't Christian.
I like it but dislike it when people say it as Krishjun.
