Lovely name but quite hipster where I am (I know other places it tends to be seen as quite a religious name).

honeysucklejasmine · 18/12/2017 22:07

Love it by couldn't persuade DH.

ChocolateCrunch · 18/12/2017 22:07

Like it and nn Eli

DramaAlpaca · 18/12/2017 22:19

I don't like it, it's too religious for me.

Idratherhaveacupoftea · 18/12/2017 22:20

Love it.

OliviaStabler · 18/12/2017 22:21

I think Elijah Wood.

BackforGood · 18/12/2017 23:09

I quite like it.

DiegoMadonna · 18/12/2017 23:19

Love it!

thatcatpidgeon · 18/12/2017 23:23

Either very religious or very hipster - I know a couple of Elijahs though & they are both sweet boys! Might be the kind of name where there are three in every class (but my opinion might be influenced by knowing two!)

horatioisabrick · 18/12/2017 23:30

Love it! But I also like Elias and Eli... (I actually like most names that start with El, for some reason)

pipilangstrumpf · 19/12/2017 07:26

I find the sound a little feminine, probably because it ends in a. Also find the short form El or Elly rather girly.

pipilangstrumpf · 19/12/2017 07:26

How about Elliott?

LoveInTokyo · 19/12/2017 08:20

I have a (very religious) friend with a little Elijah. Why not? It's cute on him.

LeahG94 · 19/12/2017 12:28

I've always loved Elijah but couldn't use it due to our surname :(

eggandchips5 · 19/12/2017 13:28

Love it

AfunaMbatata · 19/12/2017 13:29

Beautiful name Smile

Mrsknackered · 19/12/2017 21:06

I really love it. I have an irrational hate for Eli though, it sounds so screechy and shrill (to my ear anyway) I know an Elijah who is never shortened, 2 'just' Eli's, and Elijah who is always Eli.

Bubblysqueak · 19/12/2017 21:07

Love It but its getting very popular. We've had 4 start nursery this term.

SilverGiraffe7 · 19/12/2017 22:20

I love it - but then I'm biased as I have one :)
