Pippa?

We have always said our first choice for a girl would be Ivy. Until recently I thought about the name Pippa and suggested it to my other half, I expected him to hate it but he loves it more than Ivy.

Thoughts? Surname is Johnson, so if you can also think of a middle name that would be great.

Love it, I love the name ivy too but its becoming very popular (though that may not be an issue) . Pippa is lovely

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 18/12/2017 10:01

I like Pippa.

Much prefer it to Ivy.

glitterbiscuits · 18/12/2017 10:19

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 18/12/2017 10:49

Much prefer it to Ivy, which I dislike.
Pippa or Philippa are fine. I'd probably call her Pippa on bc.

horatioisabrick · 18/12/2017 22:43

Lovely name. But there are some issues when used in a few other language... Which is why I’d probably use Philippa on the bc.

But Pippa is definitely fab :)

I prefer Pippa

Alisvolatpropiis · 19/12/2017 00:57

It really doesn’t tracel well. I’d use Philippa and if you must, have Pippa as a nickname

Alisvolatpropiis · 19/12/2017 00:58

*travel Hmm

pipilangstrumpf · 19/12/2017 07:23

I don't like Pippa, sorry.

HuskyMcClusky · 19/12/2017 07:33

Prefer Ivy, tbh.

And I believe Pippa means penis in Greek (?).

LoveInTokyo · 19/12/2017 08:22

Pippa sounds a little bit like "blowjob" in French. But it is more well known now because of Pippa Middleton I guess. I would definitely put Philippa on the BC.

horatioisabrick · 19/12/2017 08:34

LoveInTokyo

It also means handjob in Italian and is a vulgar word for having sex in Swedish.

But Philippa nn Pippa is adorable :)

pipilangstrumpf · 19/12/2017 09:43

I don't find Pippa adorable at all, sorry.

LeahG94 · 19/12/2017 11:24

Thanks for all the comments :) x

Maybe a Philippa instead? Pippa is more of a nickname.

Zoesweet · 19/12/2017 12:01

Pippa Audrey, or also I agree that Philippa is also cute and can go with Elyza. :)

eggandchips5 · 19/12/2017 13:28

I love it.

AlmostChristmas · 19/12/2017 13:39

Pippa Violet

DramaAlpaca · 19/12/2017 16:45

I agree with others above, as a name Pippa doesn't travel well.

I'd go with Philippa on the birth cert to give options.
