Which are your favourite from my lists and do you have any to add?

I'd like a name that people on the most part will have heard of but preferably nothing too overused!

Girl:

Beatrice, Edith, Winnie, Mabel, Thora, Gretchen

Boy:

Reggie, Sidney, Emrys, Otto, Bertie, Theo

Winnie and Theo

Good luck! :)

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 17/12/2017 13:45

Bertie and
Winnie or Mabel

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 17/12/2017 13:51

I really love Gretchen, from the boys list, I like Theo and Otto.

LoveInTokyo · 17/12/2017 13:57

From your list, Beatrice or Mabel for a girl, Theo for a boy.

You say "Winnie", I think "...the Pooh"!

rangingfree · 17/12/2017 13:57

Thanks folks, it's good to have some feedback, I'm so worried about 'naming regret' further down the line Xmas Hmm

LoveInTokyo · 17/12/2017 13:59

Edith is nice as well actually.

daisypond · 17/12/2017 13:59

I like Beatrice and Thora from the girls' list - I've never come across a Thora in real life. I particularly dislike Winnie, even if it's short for Winifred. And I think Gretchen is awful - sorry. Call her Margarete and Gretchen for a pet name.
Boys' list - I like Theo the most, but only if it's short for Theodore. I'm not keen on the others at all.

MrsDilber · 17/12/2017 14:01

All the girls except for Gretchen and only Bertie on the boys.

Good luck and congratulations!!

Exciting times ahead.

welshmist · 17/12/2017 14:04

ah don`t worry with our third we came home from hospital without a name. Found it.

LoveInTokyo · 17/12/2017 14:05

If you like those Victorian style names you might also like:

Louisa
Ethel
Clara
Ida or Ada

Walter
Wilfred or Alfred
Frederick
Stanley

Hope it all goes well!

strawberrypenguin · 17/12/2017 14:06

Edith from your girls list. Bertie or Sidney from your boys.

CuteOrangeElephant · 17/12/2017 14:10

Mabel & Emrys from your list.

Judith
Flora
Zelda

Albie

MiniAlphaBravo · 17/12/2017 14:11

Edith and Bertie get my vote.
You still have time op, don't rush too much! Better to get it right

Navegante · 17/12/2017 15:43

I like Beatrice and Otto. Beatrice and Theo are quite popular where I live

Mrsknackered · 17/12/2017 15:43

Love your boys list. But Otto and Reggie are my favourites.

I can only think of Gretchen Weener from mean girls, so Edith or Thora.

ChocolateCrunch · 17/12/2017 15:59

Mabel or Edith from the girls
Theo or Otto from the boys

I like Greta rather than Gretchen, and Bertie only as a nn for Albert

Do you like Alice, Eliza, Martha or Hugo, Leo, Oscar?

Chocolatecake12 · 17/12/2017 16:05

From your list I like Beatrice and Sidney
Also similar - Stanley or Isaac for boys
Nancy or Imogen For girls
Good luck

CaptainChristmas · 17/12/2017 16:10

I love Beatrice, Mabel and Otto!

Don’t like the others, but really love those three^^.

glitterbiscuits · 17/12/2017 16:16

Edith
Emrys

Lentilbaby · 17/12/2017 16:17

Bea and Bertie - cute

Ikeameatballs · 17/12/2017 16:22

I don't like Gretchen or Winnie but like all of your other girls names. I think Thora is the least frequently used currently.

I don't like Reggie or Embryos, Theo is lovely but very popular. I'd go with Bertie.

Ikeameatballs · 17/12/2017 16:22

Emrys not Embryos!

PenelopePickle · 17/12/2017 16:28

Good luck OP!

We have chosen Mabel for one of our twins due in the new year, Beatrice was also on the list as well as Bertie and Otto. You have good taste Wink

I’m voting for Beatrice or Otto Smile

Smoliver · 17/12/2017 17:36

I like Beatrice and Thora from your girls list (Love Thora!). Theo and Reggie from your boys list, although I think those two names are quite popular at the moment.

Other suggestions:

Bridget
Nora
Alma
Dawn

Radley
Benji
Ivan
Leon
