Alternatives to Meredith

I LOVE the name Meredith; DP likes it but isn't completely convinced.
The only suggestion he has made is Isabel, which is nice enough (if a little dull) but I don't want to settle for 'nice enough'.
I like classic, but not overused names. Another I like is Juliet but I don't like Julie or Jules, which people will inevitably shorten it to, even though we would use the full version (and before anyone says that people won't shorten it if we use the full name, I have a common shortening, which I hate, and people regularly take it upon themselves to call me by it, even though I introduce myself by my actual name).
Can you suggest some alternatives to Meredith please?

Mererid. Welsh for Margaret. Stress is on the 2nd syllable.
Merr-ERR-id ( the I sounds like the I in the English word BIG ).

Love love love Meredith. We almost named DD Meredith. Also like Marielle (as someone else has already suggested) although I think she would end up being called Muriel and people might get the spelling wrong. Marieanne is also very pretty and could be shortened to Annie which is lovely.

Another name I considered was Emmeline, also Maggie, but Meredith was definitely my front runner and we'd decided on her name shortly after the 20 week scan (but told nobody!)
