Hello, the name Otto is starting to grow on me. We have quite a harsh sounding surname though which ends in tt, a bit like Platt. Does Otto Platt have far too many letter ts?

Posted too soon. Our other options are Milo and Ewan.

I don't think it's a problem.

BabloHoney · 14/12/2017 15:18

I like Otto and Otis but Ewan is even better! (I am biased as we have a little Ewan Smile) congrats on your baby x

TatianaLarina · 14/12/2017 15:41

Loathe Ewan, Milo’s good.

I think Otto Platt works very well.

My sister’s dog is called Otto but it doesn’t put me off the name.

TatianaLarina · 14/12/2017 15:42

Sylvia Plath’s father was called Otto - very similar.

CatInTheChristmasTree · 14/12/2017 16:52

Prefer Otis to Otto. But Otto is nice.

Ewan is very 90s and Milo is a dog's name and also a Tweenie (sorryGrin).

Mrsknackered · 14/12/2017 17:30

Love Otto! Not overly keen on Ewan, and detest Milo, sorry

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 14/12/2017 17:36

Otto is cool ! 😎

badg3r · 16/12/2017 21:54

I liked Otto for ds but someone told me it's a really old man name in Germany which put me off a bit. Still like it though!

DramaAlpaca · 16/12/2017 21:56

I dislike Otto & I'm not over fond of Milo.

I love Ewan though.

GoingRogue · 16/12/2017 21:57

Otto is very popular here in the South West if that's an issue. I quite like it Smile

NoStraightEdges · 16/12/2017 21:58

Otto made into my last 5. I really like it.

SoftSheen · 16/12/2017 22:02

Otto is great. Ewan is a sheep and Milo a Tweenie (or dog).

glitterbiscuits · 16/12/2017 22:15

I quite like Otto but not with the surname. It runs into one word too easily. A bit like ‘autoplat’

DearMrDilkington · 16/12/2017 22:16

I love Otto & Milo.

Mclaren37 · 21/12/2017 01:18

Love Otto. Although I'm not sure about it with that surname, an ottoplatt sounds like some kind of deep sea creature.

BlazingPaddles · 21/12/2017 01:47

It's very whiskery and Prussian. Not sure it suits a surname like Platt.

horatioisabrick · 21/12/2017 06:17

I like Otto & love Milo.

pipilangstrumpf · 21/12/2017 07:50

I think it sounds too harsh with such a surname

Natsku · 21/12/2017 07:51

I like Otto but I do think there's too many Ts when combined with the surname.

Cyclewidow46 · 21/12/2017 08:06

I really like it Xmas Smile

LynetteScavo · 21/12/2017 18:07

I love it! Always have Smile

PippilottaLongSTOCKING · 22/12/2017 18:33

Love the name Otto (I have one myself) Milo was on the shortlist for him too!

Shadowboy · 22/12/2017 18:34

Love, love, love Otto. It was the name we chose if we’d had a boy but we ended up with all girls!

MikeUniformMike · 22/12/2017 18:35

Ewan is by far the best on your list.
