A middle name to signify Europe (before we leave...)

Call me a sentimental old fool/a remoaner/snowflake/whatever but DH and I are quite conscious that our son, due in Jan, could be born in quite possibly the last full year that we are EU members. I’d quite like to find a middle name that gives a farewell nod to Europe somehow (but isn’t too overboard like ‘Erasmus’ or ‘Europe’!). Had a look through the founding fathers for ideas but given we are both British we’d be looking at Winston Churchill - erm, not really doing it for me.

His first name is going to be Rudy and his big sister is called Maya. Surname starts with a T.

Any ideas, oh wise ones? Hmm

Frédéric, Frederick, Fryderyk, for Chopin.

Born in Poland to a Polish mother and a French father, his girlfriend was English and they holidayed in Mallorca Grin he represents a certain type of European. But depending on your slant he could be one of the liberal elite, a citizen of the world, the kind criticised by Theresa May.

The morning after the referendum Radio 3 was playing back to back Chopin - I imagine that for some it was a small act of defiance.

Just another option Smile assuming you are not on a windup
