In my primary class (17 girls) there were two Sarahs, two Nicolas and three Amandas.

Secondary school, fewer than 100 girls in my year group. Fourteen of them were Fiona. It wasn't a particularly popular name in the year groups ahead or behind me but it sure was a bumper crop of Fionas that year. The strange thing now is I rarely ever meet another.

I was one of 6 Sophies in my primary school. My year 5 class had 3 Scotts and all of their surnames began with H. Our teacher ended up numbering them.

Out of five baby boys on the same ward as me and my ds1, four were called Adam.
My baby was also destined to become an Adam until baby number six arrived and was Benjamin Adam.
I'm not sure if this was a regional thing. And when he started school, there were only four boys in his year, including DS, and one was Adam. I'm glad we changed our mind

Geano · 26/12/2017 19:59
