The Alexandra thread has made me wonder what their latest baby may be called.

Girl:
Anne/Anna
Eleanor
(Can't have Georgina Grin)
Mary
Clara

Boy:
(Not Charles because of Charlotte)
Arthur
They already have a young relative called James.
Peter
Albert
Edward
Michael (although that"s grandad's name)

I think Helena is in with a shout.

Helena Alice Mary

Mary Helena Alice

Arthur Philip David (for wales)

Viviennemary · 11/12/2017 23:06

Boy
Richard
Philip
Albert
James

Girl
Victoria
Mary
Eleanor

NerrSnerr · 12/12/2017 11:04

I like Mary, if my youngest was a girl I would have used it.
Phillip or Peter for a boy.

youarenotkiddingme · 12/12/2017 11:18

Alice Eleanor Rose

Arthur John Stephen

I think they’ll stick to tradition but using many ‘typical’ names throughout their first 2 they’ll be limited.

I hope if Harry and Meghan have children they’ll break tradition and have something a little out there Grin

Pluckedpencil · 12/12/2017 11:42

I think Kate herself seems massively conservative and very keen to fit the regal traditional image, so my bet would be Alice and Alfred.

PinkAvocado · 12/12/2017 11:49

I love traditional names but dislike both of their previous choices so I’m guessing Arthur or Alfred as they’re traditional and I think awful so fit the pattern Grin

Sevendown · 12/12/2017 15:07

Yes I feel they have been disappointingly boring in their first and second choices.

I hope Hargan will make more modern choices.

CharisMama · 12/12/2017 18:50

Hargan Grin !! V good.

kooshbin · 12/12/2017 19:39

I'm no expert, but from recent photos I think Catherine's bump is a little bit high for not-much-more than five months. Perhaps they've done that misleading thing about the dates, to avoid those pesky questions.

Or maybe it's twins! Would they go for matching names? Wayne and Waynetta?

MiniMaxi · 12/12/2017 19:58

I vote Alice or Frederick

HildaZelda · 13/12/2017 00:32

I suspect a James. Not as sure for a girl, possibly Victoria?

KungFuEric · 13/12/2017 00:41

I'm thinking Mark or Mathew for a boy.

Hoping for no peters as it's my future chosen name and wouldn't want the fuss of having the conversation of copying the young royals.

BrizzleDrizzle · 13/12/2017 00:42

Aston for a boy.

ReggaetonLente · 13/12/2017 00:50

I thought at the time that George might have been a Spencer. Would have been a nice nod to Diana. Maybe they'll do that this time if it's a boy.

This. Kate even dresses her son in William's old clothes. There is no way she will venture away from the most traditional of Royal names. My guess is Caroline will feature as a middle name as a nod towards her mother. Alice always pops up as a favourite so perhaps will be used this time. Perhaps Isabella if it isn't already in use somewhere?
Very much doubt they would go for something like Sophie as it is too overused. I wouldn't be surprised if Philip was used, at least as a middle name, if not a first name. Likewise with Michael.

Personally I think it would be great to have a little Princess Kitty (formerly Catherine) but that would be a step too far I'm sure for Kate!

TheDowagerCuntess · 13/12/2017 01:13

Philip, Michael, Caroline, Victoria - all solid middle name contenders.

toffee1000 · 13/12/2017 03:39

The kids are only dressed in those outfits for official photos so that they aren’t so easily recognised/photographed by the paparazzi. Apparently they are dressed more normally most of the time. However I do agree that Kate is probably going to go for something traditional.

BrizzleDrizzle · 13/12/2017 07:17

The rest of the time they probably wear clothes from Matalan, Asda and Primark.

Littlehenrylee · 13/12/2017 11:12

I know they aren’t dressed like that every day and I too read that she does that so the clothes won’t date as their portraits will be around forever more but imo she does this because she iwont make her own statements.

SaturndayNight · 13/12/2017 14:03

It'll be another very traditional, very royal name and we'll be told the names have no particular significance, that they were just names they liked.

Littlelambpeep · 13/12/2017 16:19

George Charlotte and Philip go really well together.. I

dontbesillyhenry · 13/12/2017 16:25

I can't imagine being so invested in the name strangers choose to call THEIR child

Littlehenrylee · 13/12/2017 16:49

It is a baby name forum though....

TheDowagerCuntess · 13/12/2017 19:12

Do you only open your mouth to discuss things you're really 'invested in', dontbesillyhenry?

I talk inane shit on a semi-frequent basis. Don't most normal people?

Sevendown · 13/12/2017 19:49

When was the last time there were royal twins?
