I like Lexi and Skye?

Due in the spring, considering lots of names atm. Wondering what the general mn consensus was on the above?

I think they go together very well. 😄

daisypond · 08/12/2017 18:42

Skye is nice but Lexi is very nicknamey. It's fine if it's short for something like Alexandra.

MikeUniformMike · 08/12/2017 18:46

Congratulations. I'm not keen on your choices as I think they will sound very dated before long.

TheresHensInTheSkirting · 08/12/2017 18:49

Quite like Alexis nn Lexi?

Alexis is OK. It does make me think of Alexis Carrington from Dynasty, though - prob showing my age there. Alexa? Alix?

Santasbigredbobblehat · 08/12/2017 18:58

A bit trendy

AnyaMoondial · 08/12/2017 19:29

Not Alexa because of the android Siri thing. Alexis is lovely though. Skye is great too.

daisypond · 08/12/2017 19:38

anya - good point. I hadn't thought of that!

FizzyGreenWater · 08/12/2017 20:26

Skye is quite nice. Not a fan of Lexi at all and it definitely sounds like a nickname for something longer. Alexandra?

ChocolateCrunch · 08/12/2017 20:43

Quite like Skye, but not keen on Lexi/Alexis, sorry

SantaStuckInTheChimney · 08/12/2017 21:49

Love both. A lot of people on here don't seem to like Lexi, but if you like it rather than the longer version, Alexandra, go for it.

helpmum2003 · 08/12/2017 21:57

I agree if you like Lexi use as a nn.

The names seem quite different to me. I'm not into matching names in general but I would conside another nature-ish name with Skye eg Saffron, Daisy , Willow ??

helpmum2003 · 08/12/2017 21:59

Posted too early. If using say Alexandra (Lexi) then I'd consider another longer name with a nn. Eg Victoria (Tori)

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 08/12/2017 22:01

I also like Skye but not really Lexi, unless it's a nn for something else.

I think Willow sounds quite nice with Skye.

manicinsomniac · 10/12/2017 23:44

I think Skye and Alexis are a lovely pair.
