Can't decide between:

Ben (not Benjamin sadly as DH only likes short version)
Jacob/Jake
Jude

What would you pick? Or any other similar name suggestions welcome.

Ben short for Benjamin
Just Ben
Jacob
Jake

Not Jude. Just don't like it. I think Judas, obscure or Judith.

pipilangstrumpf · 08/12/2017 15:01

Jude! Interesting and not overused.

Ben and Jake are very common and will likely date.

ChocolateCrunch · 08/12/2017 16:22

Ben

InTheRoseGarden · 08/12/2017 16:41

Easily Jacob for me. Not keen on Ben and really dislike Jude.

DramaAlpaca · 08/12/2017 16:42

Ben

LovelyBranches · 08/12/2017 16:45

I love Jude, a friend of mine has a DS called Jude and as a toddler he called himself Dude which was very cute. Not overused and easy to pronounce.

NotAgainYoda · 08/12/2017 18:00

Jacob

daisypond · 08/12/2017 18:50

Jude - by miles. I would like Benjamin, but not just Ben on its own. I like Jake, but I'm not keen on Jacob.

leghoul · 08/12/2017 18:55

Not just Ben

Jacob or Jude better imo. Ben is not a complete name. .(sorry sorry) could you really not call him Benjamin and just use Ben day to day?

I quite like

Jonathan
Joshua
Julian

tihsho · 08/12/2017 20:45

Hmmm, very mixed responses! Thanks all, not sure I'm any closer to decisions but good to hear peoples views (especially regarding ben/Benjamin). I think Jude is my preference but think my DH probably prefers Jake. This baby is one of b/g twins and twin sister will probably be Ivy.

Ivy and Jude sound fab!
Jacob and Ben are quite popular at the moment. I know lots of boys with those names!

Mammyloveswine · 08/12/2017 20:50

Oh I love Jude! I'm due in 4 weeks and think were going for Elijah Jude as dh isn't keen on just Jude (grrr).

We already have a Noah

happystory · 08/12/2017 20:53

Ben. I work in a school of 400 pupils and there are 2 Bens both lovely

Ohyesiam · 08/12/2017 21:04

My dd treks me there are 14 bens in her year. Year 9.
I think it's peaked.
That might not bother you, it's still a nice name.

SantaStuckInTheChimney · 08/12/2017 21:40

Definitely Jude! A beautiful name

KanyeWesticle · 08/12/2017 21:48

What about Reuben? He gets the Ben short form, you get a "full name", and it sounds a bit like Jude too.

buttercup54321 · 08/12/2017 21:51

Luke and Ivy

Sophronia · 08/12/2017 22:29

With Ivy, Jude goes best.

tihsho · 09/12/2017 08:39

Reuben is a good suggestion, hadn't considered that. Thanks all!
