Lucy vs Lara

Having a hard time trying to choose one for DD middle name will be Poppy or Serena probably Lucy Serena, Lara Poppy. Which do you prefer?

OP - I have a Lara. Only one person mentioned the Lara Croft link (bizarrely it was my nearly 80 yo Dad). Everyone else said "Lara, like in Dr Zhivago - how romantic".

Lucy Serena, I hear that and think what a clever choice, both lovely and
the name really flows.

Lara Poppy, I hear that and think it is a bit disjointed and not flowing as well, less classic or attractive names although not bad.

Not keen on Lucy , Lara is great but I prefer Lana or Loana . Poppy is very pretty for a middle name .

Lucy Serena is very nice.
I find Lara very forgettable - it gets muddled up with the other Lyra/Lola names. Could you have Larissa, the Russian name for which Lara is the diminutive?

I was going to vote for Lara over Lucy but with the middle names I prefer Lucy Serena. Personally Lara Poppy doesn't flow anywhere near as well but that's just me!

Neo we didn't choose Lara because of any characters just because the sound and meaning's are lovely - it means joy.
OPs, Lara Sophie sounds better imo, do you think that's a better alternative?

If I have another daughter she'll be Lara, only didn't use it this time as it did work with the middle name we wanted to use.

Lucy Serena is very nice.

I also like Lara, but not with Poppy.

Lara Sophie is lovely, in fact I prefer it to Lucy Serena.

Lara. Although prefer Lana, or Luella or Lois (big fan of L names!!), I like Lyra too. Sophie works better than Poppy as a middle name.
