Clementine or clemency, Florentine or Florence

I posted few days ago on behalf of my best friend. She has since had baby two days ago. She originally announced the name as Clementine Florence but she rang me in tears today as she isn't sure that's what she wants to call baby! I said I would ask again in here.

Its a toss up between Clementine Florence or Clemency Florentine. Baby will be known as Clemmie. Grandma was Florencia but friend doesn't like that.

Agree with most others, she's chosen the best name there.

Also agree that the hormones at 2 days in are tricky. I almost didn't call my son the name that had been our favourite all the way through pregnancy because I had a sudden weird panic and could only focus on the negative posts about the name when I asked for opinions on here. (No name will be universally adored!) Maybe gently suggest she waits a few days for the hormones to calm down a bit if she is asking for your advice.

Clementine Florence is pretty.

Big hug to your friend, I think most of us go through the panic of have I choose the right name, but it’s very early days and she can take as long as she likes to decide.
