Amelie or Annie?

Annie, is fine and stands well as a full name she can still go by Ann if she wanted to.

There are tonnes of Amelie’s here. I think Anna is so classic and elegant and Annie can always be the cute nn.

Annie, beautiful name. Doesn’t sound like a nickname. And even if it did... does it matter??? Love the name!

Annie (I have an Annie). Ironically one of her best friends is Amelie!

If you are considering other names which can be shortened to Annie, I also love Anna with nn Annie. Or Anastasia, Annabel, maybe even something like Arianna shortened to Annie?

I do like Amelie, but it’s so close to Amelia and doesn’t always sound great in a British accent, (to me at least).

Amelie will have a lifetime of mispronunciations. "Amelia?" "Emily?"

Amelie has been done to death around here, it's the most commonly used name in playgroup. Annie is lovely and less likely to get the "Emily/Amelia/how do you spell that again?" scenario

Annie is a nn to me. As a pp said, Annelie is nice.
