We have a Finley and are having a surprise.

Can you let me know your thoughts on

Georgia
Phoebe
Tilly
Lucie

Caleb
James
Jesse

These are the only ones DP and I so far have agreed on so we are making progress! God help us when we get to 2nd names.

I like them all. I especially like Tilly, Lucie and James.

I also like "Arthur, Betty, Beth or Elizabeth and Joss and Tommy.

Leckhamptonmummy · 01/12/2017 11:11

Also after a sister name for Finley. I have no names I LOVE!

ChocolateCrunch · 01/12/2017 11:18

I like Georgia and James from your list

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 01/12/2017 11:53

I like Caleb, James and Lucy, spelled this way.

CheapSausagesAndSpam · 01/12/2017 11:53

I agree about the spelling. Lucy is the "proper" spelling and if you spell it Lucie, people will forever spell it the other way.

userabcname · 01/12/2017 12:11

I like all your girls' names and personally I love Jesse but DH wouldn't hear of it for DS.

Navegante · 01/12/2017 12:28

I like all of them but Filey and Phoebe and Filey and Caleb are nice

Valeriemalorie · 01/12/2017 12:31

I like them all apart from Phoebe as it sounds like too many fs with Finley.

onemorecakeplease · 01/12/2017 12:33

The Finley I know has brothers called
Austen
Benjamin
And a sister called Elizabeth

I like all your names too!

Mrsknackered · 01/12/2017 12:41

Love Jesse.

I don't care for your girls names, sorry. What about?

Orla
Matilda
Georgina
Ellene
Lola

Barney
Tobias

Sunshinesaz86 · 01/12/2017 13:16

Thanks ladies, totally get your point on the spelling for Lucie/Lucy dp prefers it this way (for some reason) but we can think on that.

Also get the point about phoebe and the f's but think that can sound nice with brothers and sisters but sometimes they can be quite samey!

Thanks for the other suggestions but won't be going for arthurs/tommys/Barney/Tobias etc we don't like too traditional even tho James and Lucie are a bit and don't like anything to 'out there' definitely not keen on Orla E names are out as surname starts with E and have 3 of 4 nieces with names starting with E!

Archie goes nice as a brother name with Finley how about Hazel for a girl?

Joeybee · 03/12/2017 01:53

Georgia - sounds like a bitchy girl to me. But that's a personal association. I like it for the nickname George/Georgie.

Phoebe- LOVE it. Old but modern and fun. Makes me think or Phoebe from friends but also of a rich old lady with pearls!

Tilly - Too cutesy. Can't imagine taking a Tilly seriously.
Lucie - The Lucy spelling or she's constantly have to spell out her name to everybody!

Caleb - Like it. Not too popular or common.
James - Bit boring.
Jesse - Too American!

deptfordgirl · 03/12/2017 07:10

LOVE your boy names. Caleb is my favourite (it's on our shortlist). What about Caleb James?

I like Lucy (not keen on Lucie spelling).

Sunshinesaz86 · 03/12/2017 19:46

Thanks all, definitely may rethink the Lucie spelling.

And yes I do think Tilly is quite cutsey but I quite like that.

Oh I don't know ......it's sooo hard! Neither my mum nor sister like Caleb! 🙈

Phoebe or Lucy (spelled that way) for girls. I don't like Tilly - fine for a toddler, not for a grown woman - unless it's short for Matilda or something. And I don't like Georgia at all - it's the name of a place.
Caleb or James for boys. Jesse always seems too much like the girls' name Jessie to me.

My friend has a finley and her dd is called scarlett. I think they work well together. I love phoebe but also think the names sound a bit too similar. I know a lucie and there's no issue with the spelling. Hopefully people only need to be told once!

I like James for a boys name but this probably because the finley I mentioned has it as his middle name and I think they go well together!

Olivelor · 03/12/2017 20:42

All of the names sounds nice. Preference for Phoebe and Tilly. Then Caleb and Jesse of the boys names.

Frazzled2207 · 03/12/2017 20:50

From your list Lucy (def a y) and James.
I know a Finley and Harrison.

Serafinaaa · 03/12/2017 20:54

I have a Finlay and considered/used the following for his sibling and middle name!
Luca
James
Alice
Isla

17caterpillars1mouse · 03/12/2017 21:10

I like Phoebe and Lucie best. I like Lucie with Finley as the y isn't repeated though would usually prefer Lucy. Georgia is nice too, but i find Tilly babyish and hard to imagine on an adult.

I like James best from your boys and Jesse the least
