Looking for a modern twist on the boys name Gilbert!

What do you think of the name Gilby/Gilbie?

I have an ancestor called Gilbert who was known as Gib (pronounced with a g as in gull, not Jib)

So not a modern twist but rather an ancient one if that helps!

Scottish Gilberts are called Gibby.

Which is bad enough. Gilby is shocking.

BakedBeans47 · 29/11/2017 19:53

Love Gilbert. I'd just call him Gilbert. A lot of name from the same era are becoming popular again so are going to modern sounding in themselves.
