Middle name help

We have her first name picked out as Livia.

Middles name: Belle (meaning beautiful) or Emery (meaning brave and powerful).

Which do you prefer?

Belle runs much better after Livia IMO. Emery feels harder to get my tongue around, it feels like it needs a short pause to reset my mouth between the names. I think that comes from one ending and the other starting with a vowel.
That said it makes a difference what your surname is. Mine sounds awful with Livia Belle, but sounds passable with Livia Emery

Livia Belle sounds a bit like a boat to me

I prefer Olivia, which will be assumed to be her name by many people if you just call her Livia.

Olivia on the birth certificate with Livia used for short.

I like Belle, Emery sounds like a more masculine name to me.

Emery doesn't work with Livia, so Belle.

I prefer Emery as a name but with Livia it's a bit of a mouthful. Too many vowels.

Emery reminds me of emery boards, and the vowel sounds clash.

Either are lovely! And Livia is beautiful and completely different to Olivia to me.

Livia Belle definitely! Livia Emery is too much of a mouthful in my opinion.

I love Livia but agree that most people you will come across will assume it's a shortening of Olivia- but saying that go with what you like!
