How about Harriette, Hettie ?

DeadDoorpost · 28/11/2017 03:41

Another one who had a chicken called Henrietta. Named after the NCIS:L.A. character Hetty.

There's a list of names here that end in -ette.

Etta?

Love this name.

There was a girl in my school with this name (admittedly her nickname was Hen Grin but she liked being called that!) I remember thinking how cool and unique her name was.

I think Henrietta is much better than Harriet, which is a name I really don't like. Henrietta does have a bit of a posh vibe to it to my ears. Or you could use Henriette. Juliet/Juliette?

pipilangstrumpf · 30/11/2017 13:01

Henrietta is beautiful and much more feminine than Harriett which sounds harsh imo.

NannyR · 30/11/2017 13:05

I quite like it. I've only known one child called Henrietta and she was known as Harrie. Ettie is a nice shortening too.

Mrsknackered · 03/12/2017 09:25

I really don't like it, sorry.

I know a Hetty who is Hester, if you like that?

I love it! I think it’s a great name. Think I may be in the minority though.
