Just come me across this name but can't for the life of me figure out what it's is, it's a girls name

I'd say its a fancy selling for Edie or Eddie short for Edwina. Could be completley wrong, though.

Only thing I could come up with was Eddie, was trying to sound Leigh without the L then ed in front!

Its hard because you don't know whether its Pronounced with the higher case E or the lower.

I think awful made up spellings of names says an awful lot about the parents. Ugh! They are stupid in their attempts to be 'alternative'. Do they want people to guess the child's sex and name for eternity? And for her or him (who knows if it's a boy or girl?) to have to correct the spelling of its name wherever it goes? Poor little mite.
