Which do you prefer? Surname starts and ends in N and has a ssss sound in the middle.

Phoebe is very cool.

HundredMilesAnHour · 25/11/2017 12:48

Sophie is far too common these days. Your child will be forever "Sophie N".

Go with Phoebe.

IVflytrap · 25/11/2017 12:51

Phoebe, as it's less common.

HettyB · 25/11/2017 13:16

Phoebe

Phoebe. Although I do like both.

littlemisscomper · 25/11/2017 13:22

I would just wait and see what she looks like!

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 25/11/2017 13:24

Sophie.

starkid · 25/11/2017 14:03

Phoebe!

Herja · 25/11/2017 14:04

Phoebe.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 25/11/2017 14:04

Phoebe is nicer plus less popular.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 25/11/2017 14:05

Sophie.

I always think Phoebe sounds like a wart or a growth or something 😂

BigFatFryUp · 25/11/2017 14:06

Sophia more so than Sophie.

Phoebe trumps both, though. Such a nice name, and not everywhere.

MikeUniformMike · 25/11/2017 14:13

I like both but don't like Phoebs, so I vote for Sophie.

deptfordgirl · 25/11/2017 14:15

Sophie

Plasticgold · 25/11/2017 14:23

I have a Phoebe and DS would have been Sophie if he was a girl! Both great names.

People always stop me to say what a lovely name DD has, it's a bit unusual but not out there!

cedoren · 25/11/2017 14:30

Love both. Sophie is my daughter's middle name but I also think Phoebe is very nice too. (Not helpful). I remember 25 or so years ago when I was at school, the name Sophie was less used and when a girl called Sophie joined our school, I was jealous of her as I preferred her more classy name to mine Grin. Maybe see what she looks more like when she's born.

Glumglowworm · 25/11/2017 14:49

I think Sophie has been a popular girls name for at least 40 years now... I’m (almost) 37 and I know at least six my age all the way down to reception class.
I never knew a nice one when I was a kid, but all the younger ones I’ve met seem lovely Smile

That said, Phoebe is my most favourite girl’s name ever: “bright shining”... Grin

Good luck Flowers
