Thoughts on girl name.....

Cleo.

Think this name is great because it’s strong, feminine without being fussy, classic and beautiful and with a lovely meaning: glory.

But I have doubts over whether or not it’s the one. (Don’t care about car or cat associations). Worried the “Cl” sound is too harsh?!

Thoughts anyone?

I like it a lot. Don't think it sounds harsh at all

I love it, was our girl name for DS

Cockmagic · 21/11/2017 16:20

Rose is much better

I know lots of little cleos

MammieBear · 21/11/2017 16:24

Nothing wrong with it it's very sweet you might like Cleodie as well.

Thanks for the comments. Hellowembley great to hear from someone else with a Cleo, I’m loving it more and more. People keep saying they know lots of Cleos though, it’s unheard of round here (south coast). Just hoping it’s not likely to be the next trendy/popular name - is it???!!

Love it, doesn't sound harsh to me!

mywayalltheway · 21/11/2017 16:35

No Cleos near me either op

thepatchworkcat · 21/11/2017 16:41

I love it, I’ve taught 2 a few years ago (North West), don’t think it’s very common or over popular (not yet anyway!).

Mamabear4180 · 21/11/2017 16:51

It doesn't sound harsh to me, it's really cute! Would go lovely with Rose as a middle name, it kind of makes it even prettier. Go for it!

I also like Rose but it's not as exciting as Cleo.

Mamabear4180 · 21/11/2017 16:53

No Cleo's at any toddler groups near me OP and I circulate between 7 different ones every fortnight. I do have a friend with a teenage Cleo but she's the only one I've ever known of and I'm late 30's.

Mamabear4180 · 21/11/2017 16:54

Oh and I'm not in the North! South-East Smile

hellowembley · 21/11/2017 16:57

It’s 200 something in the charts so not that popular

JoVH · 21/11/2017 16:58

Love it but unfortunately DH vetoed it.

BrutusMcDogface · 21/11/2017 17:06

I know a cleo who is ALWAYS called Chloe, and sometimes Leo!! But other than that it's a nice name Smile

Elmo303 · 21/11/2017 19:56

Such positive comments, thanks everyone! Great to hear that it doesn’t seem too popular where some of you are. Smile

Not too worried about the Chloe thing by the way, small price to pay for a great name I guess!
