Baby boy name

So our baby boy is 2 days old and still nameless. We didn't know the sex and found it much more difficult to find boys names we likes compared with girls.

DH likes Peter and I wasn't too sure but now that he's here and I've tried it out, I think it suits him. Just don't want to make the wrong decision, blooming hormones are all over the place! Would like some other opinions, what do you think of Peter, middle name is probably James?

Peter is a great underused classic!

Gorgeous.

DotCottonIsMyIdol · 14/11/2017 11:09

I'm not normally one for 'traditional' names but Peter is lovely. As a previous post say a very underused classic.

Go for it! Congratulations. Smile

WowserBowser · 14/11/2017 11:10

I really like Peter. I think it has a nice sound to it.

nameshelpplease · 14/11/2017 11:12

Thanks everyone! I guess noone's going to dare say they hate it to a hormonal mummy who's only given birth 2 days ago, but I appreciate your thoughts and I think it's the one, finally! Going to try it out for a few hours before announcing it!

I love Peter as a name. “Pete”s are good strong dependable blokes.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 14/11/2017 11:21

LarkDescending · 14/11/2017 12:22

Peter James is very handsome. I know several lovely Peters, ranging from 9 months to 95 years! An classic name which will serve him well throughout his life.

Congratulations Flowers

WowserBowser · 14/11/2017 12:25

It's mn baby names, of course people dare to say they hate it Grin

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 14/11/2017 12:33

A definate yes from me
Its classic. There certainly won't be many if any little Peters in his school.
It ages well, its cute on the name peg.
Cool for a teenager, and Sounds powerful and strong for an adult.
Plus Pete is good nn. Whats not to love.
Congratulations. Flowers

glitterbiscuits · 14/11/2017 12:45

It’s lovely. Timeless but also I don’t know any Peters under 40. So actually original

Jenpug · 14/11/2017 12:46

Beautiful choice OP.

starkid · 14/11/2017 16:59

Peter James sounds nice together and definitely underused but classic :) Congratulations!

sooperdooper · 14/11/2017 17:01

Lovely name, classic & not overly used - I really like it :)

icantgetnosleep5 · 14/11/2017 17:05

LOVE Peter
Congratulations

amberdixie · 14/11/2017 18:41

Sorry. Really dated and old fashioned and I like ‘classic’ names. It’s a no from me.

IJustGotHitByADeer · 14/11/2017 19:35

Lovely name. In fact if I have a DS he will also be Peter James - Peter because I love it and it’s so timeless, James after DH

Congratulations Flowers

user1459464195 · 14/11/2017 19:41

Great choice. Peter is classic and underused and James is lovely.

Joeybee · 14/11/2017 22:27

Peter is so underused and I don't know why. It's a great name. Peter James flows well too. I think you're making a good choice. Congratulations!

TheTroutofNoCraic · 14/11/2017 22:39

Lovely. There's a lot to be said for a good, solid name.

CakeRattleandRoll · 15/11/2017 08:20

Great name.

Intercom · 15/11/2017 09:32

Peter is a good choice, a classic name but not overused. James is also good but it does seem to be the go-to middle name at the moment.
