Ok so me and Dh have 7 children.

Their names are (this will out me but I’m not hiding anything)

Max
George
Luca
Tabitha
Harley
Ivor
Posy

Our shortlist for boys is

Stan
Lennie/Lenny
Percy
Ted/teddy

We have no girls names yet can’t think of any! We both quite like Cece and I have liked Kitty a few other times I’ve been pregnant.

Please let me know your thoughts and any suggestions you think we might like, girls or boys names.Smile

For a girl what about Theodora which can be shortened to Tilly, Dora, Thea, or even Teddy

franktheskank · 05/11/2017 12:51

We both love Percy but everyone we mention it to laughs!😂🙈

Plus posy is the youngest so posy and Percy sounds like a kids book!

I adore Lenny and Teddy, dh is in love with Stan and I like the name but it wouldn’t be on my limits if it wasn’t for him.

Kitty is really nice.

franktheskank · 05/11/2017 12:54

Yes I’ve always loved Theodora ,dh is slightly more traditional than i am so haven’t mentioned it to him yet but i think I will.

Tbh I had a miscarriage a couple of years ago at 14 weeks and never found out the sex and Theodora or Theodore were in my head bit obviously never got a chance to use them. Maybe that’s why I didn’t consider it, is that a reason not to use it?

I must admit I love Teddy for a boy it was on my list when I was expecting DS but my DH wouldn't let me. I know one in RL he is a toddler and the parents are very cool. Teddy could also be a nickname for Theo or Edward

JKR123 · 05/11/2017 12:58

Oh sorry about your mc. No I wouldn't discount it because of that. Both lovely names and it would be a shame not to use them if you live them. You could always have them as an option and make the final decision when baby arrives. With both mine we had two names options as we couldn't decide then as soon as they were born we just knew which name suited them

JKR123 · 05/11/2017 12:59
  • like not live
franktheskank · 05/11/2017 13:03

Yes I seem to get a bit obsessed with choosing a name before they’re born but really waiting to see what they suit is a better idea.

franktheskank · 05/11/2017 17:45

I love jemima but it’s posys middle name!

Etta I love ❤️

Mrsknackered · 05/11/2017 20:19

Sorry meant to delete the part of your OP, was using it for reference!

EvilCleverDog · 05/11/2017 20:24

I have a Stanley and a (Leonard) Lenny so obviously my pick would be one of those Grin

franktheskank · 05/11/2017 22:01

Good choice you obviously have impeccable taste Grin

Seems like they’re still the top two we’ve been talking about it again tonight and he’s in love with Stan and me with Lenny but teddy is still in with a chance!

He said kitty is his favourite for a girl atm which is fine with me. Youngest daughter wants poppy as in poppy from trolls 😂❤️

OP posts:
EvilCleverDog · 05/11/2017 22:40

You could have Leni for a girl

ScarletSienna · 05/11/2017 22:45

Kitty and Etta are lovely. I really really dislike Lenny and Stanley but like the names of your children so they don’t seem to fit!

franktheskank · 06/11/2017 13:39

Yes short for leonora I guess which opens up other nickname possibilities too. I’ll mention that I quite like it.
