My son's name. Nickname is obviously Toby but also another silly one we made up 😜

PinkSquash · 05/11/2017 08:31

I love it

olympicsrock · 05/11/2017 08:41

It’s a great name. We have a Toby. Only thing is that people will ask if you pronounce it Tob I as or Tob ee as.

Curiousmary · 05/11/2017 08:47

I think I would pronounce it Tob-I-as, is that right?

I've only ever said Tob Eye As but to be honest I've really only ever called him Toby or his other nickname. It's there on his birth certificate to use later if he wants though and that's the main thing.

SleepFreeZone · 05/11/2017 09:42

Just to add Toby is really popular though 😬 Loads of kids and dogs come running if I call him across the park 😂😂

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 05/11/2017 09:59

Or Matthias !

ImogenTubbs · 05/11/2017 09:59

Lovely. I also love Matthias.

ChocolateCrunch · 05/11/2017 10:02

Yes, like it, but would use Toby as nn. Don't know any young Tobias/Tobys. I've only heard Tobias pronounced ToeByeAs.

pipilangstrumpf · 05/11/2017 10:37

I’ve only heard it as TobEEas. Like MattEEas.

TidyDancer · 05/11/2017 15:52

I know two people with the name Tobias, one 40ish man, one two year old boy. It’s a nice name. Never heard it pronounced as anything other than Toe-bye-us.

17caterpillars1mouse · 05/11/2017 15:54

Love it but dislike Toby. I quite like Bias as a nn instead though
