My husband really likes the name Teilo for a boy (a Welsh saint name, and we do have links, so not completely random) but I think it would constantly be misheard as Taylor or be misspelt. Any thoughts?

Pronounced How, OP? Tee-Lo? Tay-Lo? Ty-Lo?

I like it. It's quite like Tayto (which is a very popular Irish crisp) but if you're not in Ireland I wouldn't worry about that. Go for it. Much nicer than Taylor.

It's pronounced more Tie-Low around here too! Somewhere between Tie and Tay really! Love it!

Quite pleasant really though I think it will get confused with Taylor.
