Pregnant with DC2 and don’t know gender yet (will be finding out at scan). Have a little boy already called Ruaridh so would need a name that goes with it!

So far:
girls names
Eilidh
Hannah

boys names
Innes

We aren’t doing well with the name picking 😂 doesn’t help that I’m a teacher so I tend to veto a LOT of names!

Mind you being a teacher you probably come across loads of little islas

I've only ever heard of Innes for a girl, but spelt Ines, but I've not been around as many kids as you have! Eilidh is very pretty, also Lillian, Naoimhe or Aoife are nice for a girl.

I love the name Isla but someone in the family picked that for their DD so can’t have that Sad

I like naiomh as well :)

Do you specifically want a Scottish name?

Frazer
Fergus
Angus
Alasdair

Ailsa
Iona
Kirsten
Catriona

How is Eilidh pronounced?

hoopdeloop · 10/10/2017 17:58

Eilidh is pronounced Ay-lay

Not fussed about it being overly Scottish but wonder if it would seem odd than one child has a Scottish name and the other didn’t
