I always thought it was spelt Lillian which I like!
My 2yo is a Lily, but loved Lillian as an extension of that!

I think most people would spell it Lillian.

Lilian is the traditional (correct!) spelling. Just like it's Lily, not Lilly.

Yes, Lilian is the traditional spelling in the U.K. (and I think Lillian in America).

Ah that makes sense if Lilian is the original way. The only two Lilians that I 'know' are older (one actually passed away). On the ons though, Lillian is far higher up the list than Lilian, which confused me.
