In our library there is a cartoony kids book series with a fairy called Nixie- which I think is a real 'type' of fairy.

Trixie...but before you saddle your child with a name, please give some thought as to how it will sound when they are grown up! I know an amazonian strapping lass whose name suited when she was a cute little girl but now sounds ridiculous.
