Alternatives to Billie Rae?

InRainbows · 01/10/2017 09:25

My surname is King and for years I have loved the idea of Billie Rae King for a girl.

Only problem - OH likes Billie but has vitoed Rae 😶 I did think about Billie Rose as an alternative but I don't think it flows as well.

Let me know your thoughts?

She’ll be King Billie on the register...

In some parts of the UK that might be problematic.

AnotherLegoBrick · 04/10/2017 06:49

I hope she's good at tennis...

I went to school with a Billie-Jo. She joined mid year for about 2 weeks then disappeared again. I've always wondered what happened to her.

thegreylady · 04/10/2017 23:11

Billy Joe McAllister jumped off the Tallahassee Bridge...

Oh I hadn't made the King Billie connection! If she ever travels to NI (or parts of Scotland I think?), that could sound a bit political.

Billie is lovely (please keep it as a middle name, Billie is best on its own)

It should be one syllable, ir LOTS of syllables

Billie Blythe
Billie Rose
Billie Ruth
Billie Josephine
Billie Rosalind
Billie Cassandra

I'd swap the billie for Millie
Millie Rae King- sorted.

MargaretRiver · 05/10/2017 12:53

Billie- Jean
( is not my lover)

ReggaetonLente · 05/10/2017 12:54

Billie Ruth King is lovely.

I know two female Billies, both lovely women and very successful career wise. So the name has good associations for me!

Evelynismyspyname · 05/10/2017 12:54

Belinda Rachel - then you can shorten it to Billie Rae but not commit to that quite Marmite choice!

But I think this is a tongue in cheek thread Wink

SnotGoblin · 05/10/2017 13:05

@manicinsomniac if you went to school in Australia, I bemiebe I know where your Billy-Jo went as one joined my high school. It was (& still is) such an incongruous name for suburban Australia.

manicinsomniac · 05/10/2017 17:48

SnotGoblin - No, North West England. But maybe she went a long, long way away! Grin
