William. Noah seems to be very popular. Too popular.

HollyJade · 28/09/2017 22:47

There's more Williams in the world Grin

I prefer William.

Noah doesn't have any obvious shortenings and I like names which do.

Also, Noah is having a bit of a moment I think. William is a classic name, so is always popular, but Noah only came into the top ten a few years ago (I think). That makes me think it could date.

Both are nice names though. Can't go wrong really!

Sophronia · 28/09/2017 23:47

Definitely William!

DramaAlpaca · 28/09/2017 23:48

William. It's a much nicer, stronger, versatile, classic name.

ShmooBooMoo · 28/09/2017 23:53

William. Noah is so bland.

pipilangstrumpf · 29/09/2017 07:03

William has the Willy teasing potential, so Noah of the two.

Montsti · 29/09/2017 07:21

William

Mclaren37 · 29/09/2017 07:21

I prefer Noah. William is a bit TOO classic for me, verging on dull (although nice).

Ropsleybunny · 29/09/2017 07:22

William

Ionarocks · 29/09/2017 07:31

Both are nice. I prefer Noah

Mammyloveswine · 29/09/2017 07:33

I prefer Noah but I luv because I have a Noah! We have a William in our family and it's a lovely classic name

ChocolateCrunch · 29/09/2017 08:16

Noah, just because I know loads of Williams, but only 2 Noahs.

saritah · 29/09/2017 08:44

William!

17caterpillars1mouse · 29/09/2017 09:00

Noah. I like both but they are around the same popularity as each other so I prefer Noah

ScarletSienna · 29/09/2017 09:14

William. Noah is ok but to me sounds like No-ah as in how someone says ‘no’ stroppily!

juneau · 29/09/2017 09:17

Depends where you live. Around here (southeast), both names are VERY popular. My grandad was called William and I really wanted to use it, but we already knew four before our DS was born and at his school there are between 1-4 Williams in every year group. It's the most popular name in the school. As for Noah - it's catching up in popularity now. But go with what you like. We chose a non-top-100 name for our DS who was going to be William - a name that isn't currently at all fashionable and guess what? There is another one in his class!

BoredOnMatLeave · 29/09/2017 09:20

I think I prefer William but hate the Billy shortening so I would chose Noah

MrsGB2225 · 29/09/2017 09:22

William

DearTeddyRobinson · 29/09/2017 09:22

William. Good enough for a prince and my DS ! Also like Will as a short version. Noah is a bit trendy in my opinion

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 29/09/2017 09:57

William.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 29/09/2017 10:06

Noah. It might be trendy but the only one I know is late forties. William is a good solid name, but dull.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 29/09/2017 10:20

William
