I really am so indecisive and the weeks are flying by, I'm so nervous that we haven't picked a name yet. Here's what I've narrowed it down to..... surname rhymes with Dalton:

Rowan
Xanthe
Aurora
Indi / Indie
Effie
Eleanor / Nellie
Heidi
Luna
Lola
Noa
Nola
Norah
Nova
Nahla

What's your favourites?

Thanks

Lola is lovely and 100% my favourite on your list

XJerseyGirlX · 27/09/2017 17:31

I love Heidi

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 27/09/2017 17:38

Luna. Heidi. Aurora.

2cats2many · 27/09/2017 17:39

I love Xanthe, Heidi and Eleanor the best out of your list.

Pemba · 27/09/2017 17:40

I actually really like Xanthe, and it has the advantage of being unusual.

Eleanor and Lola are lovely too, but of course have been very popular over recent years (Eleanor for over 20 years). I also like Effie, but it is perhaps overly 'cute' for when she becomes a grown woman.

dragonwarrior · 27/09/2017 17:42

Luna, Aurora and Heidi.

I think Heidi is likely to be the least common

user1488794856 · 27/09/2017 17:44

Effie and Heidi

FutureDays · 27/09/2017 17:45

I love Norah (I am biased as my daughter is one) we chose a name that went well with the middle name because some of my older family members have a habit of using both names

@dragonwarrior - Heidi is #76 on last years ONS figures, so the most popular / common on my list. Which worries me slightly!

Xanthe is my favourite.

Luna and Heidi also very nice.

Smoliver · 27/09/2017 17:52

My favs from your list are Xanthe, Indie, Luna and Nova - we have similar taste

MrsGB2225 · 27/09/2017 17:53

Norah and Eleanor

Rach2310 · 27/09/2017 17:53

@Smoliver - what else is on your list?

First 3 names are my favourites Smile

ChocolateCrunch · 27/09/2017 18:09

Heidi would be my favourite

TempsPerdu · 27/09/2017 18:12

We have a few of these on our current list for DD1 - Xanthe, Rowan and Eleanor (plus about 20 more - seems we're having similar problems to you! Smile) Only reservation with Rowan (which I love) is that I'm not sure about the repeating -n sounds in Rowan Dalton...

Not so keen on Heidi, Lola and Luna (pretty names but I think the last two in particular will date).

Crabbo · 27/09/2017 18:18

Indi. It's on my list too (baby due December). Lola and Luna both nice but pretty popular. Noa is lovely but boy Noah's are everywhere so that puts me off.

pickleface · 27/09/2017 18:22

Now and Norah are my faves

dressinggown8305 · 27/09/2017 18:22

My favourites are: Heidi and Luna. I also like Lola but it's very popular- don't know whether that would put you off?

Heidi would sound lovely with what I think your surname may be.

I know Rowan is unisex but I just think of a little boy.

Eleanor is quite outdated IMO.

NinonDeLenclos · 27/09/2017 18:26

Aurora but Heidi is good too.

nodogsinthebedroom · 27/09/2017 18:42

I LOVE Rowan, but I don't think it goes well with your surname (especially if you are pronouncing it the traditions female way, with the "Row" pronounced as in "argument").

Of the others I like Eleanor, Heidi and Noa.

nodogsinthebedroom · 27/09/2017 18:43

And Norah!

Violetparis · 27/09/2017 18:45

I like Heidi and Rowan.

bridgetreilly · 27/09/2017 19:04

Rowan, Lola and Norah from your list.
