Freddie or Dylan?

I love Freddie (we would put Frederick on the birth cert) but my DH is not so sure. He likes Dylan, which I kind of like, but I feel like Freddie is better! Which would you choose? Middle name will be Stephen, after my Dad.

Actually come to think of it, my DH's choice wouldn't sound quite right with the middle name, would it? Dylannnnnn Stephennnnn Confused

I don't think Dylan Stephen would work. Freddie Stephen sounds better

dotdotdotmustdash · 24/09/2017 18:48

I fear Freddie has become very popular - I only personally know 2 baby boys born in the past year and they're both called Freddie.

I work in schools, most Dylans are naughty.

DiegoMadonna · 24/09/2017 19:15

Dylan by a long way.

I don't like it so much with the middle name Stephen, but they're so rarely actually said together.

MikeUniformMike · 24/09/2017 19:18

Of the two, Freddie but I really don't like Dylan.

Boopear · 24/09/2017 19:23

Freddie. It just rhymes so well ..cue endless parental amusement at Freddie teddie beddie (my 10yo Freddie not quite as amused anymore..) but, honestly, it's a great name. Also means King (German origin)

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 24/09/2017 19:37

Freddie. I can't abide the name Dylan.
I don't particularly like Freddie, either, but. Its far far nicer than Dylan

LostwithSawyer · 24/09/2017 20:04

Dylan is nicer than Freddie

Mrsknackered · 24/09/2017 20:06

Freddie! Love it. And all the Fred's I know are lovely.
I dislike Dylan greatly.

Sophronia · 24/09/2017 20:36

Frederick nn Freddie

ButterflyOfFreedom · 24/09/2017 20:43

Dylan Frederick Stephen...

rosybell · 24/09/2017 21:01

Dylan is a lovely name and you don't normally say the first/middle names together. Freddie is nice for a toddler but not sure how well it suits an adult.

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 24/09/2017 21:04

Frederick Stephen

Montsti · 25/09/2017 13:56

I love Freddie nn.Frederick and it would've been no.4s name if she had been a boy.

Not keen on Dylan...

starkid · 25/09/2017 16:33

I prefer Dylan, but perhaps a different middle name (they aren't terrible together though).

pilates · 25/09/2017 17:36

Freddie, dislike Dylan

NearLifeExperience · 25/09/2017 23:14

I love Dylan - but then I love Dylan Thomas and Bob Dylan.

Dislike Freddie. It's too cheeky chappie, and sounds like a Boden mummy's DC name.
