She's 2 weeks old (I've tried both names!) Smile

Violet Olivia. Congrats by the way!

Wolfiefan · 22/09/2017 21:04

Partly depends on your surname. You don't want initials VOM!

WishUponAStar88 · 22/09/2017 21:05

Violet Olivia 😊 Congratulations!

NinonDeLenclos · 22/09/2017 21:05

Definitely Violet Olivia - Olivia is way too common as a first name.

Violet Olivia

I would have said Olivia, but seeing as it was number 1 in 2016 I would avoid - I don't have a problem with popular names but think it's a shame when they have to be Olivia A, Olivia B etc.
That being said the youngest Olivia I know is 21, and I know lots of new babies.

Violet is a beautiful name though so isn't a great loss Smile

NachoAddict · 22/09/2017 21:08

Congratulations! Olivia Violet rolls off the tongue better, but how often will you say both names together? I much prefer Violet as a first name.

ElizabethShaw · 22/09/2017 21:57

She'd be one of at least 5 Olivia's/Olivers/Olives in her class at school.

GU24Mum · 22/09/2017 22:02

I like both though probably prefer Violet. Personally, I'd steer away from Violet Olivia - reminds me a bit much of Violet Elizabeth in the "Just William" books as it sounds similar - but I'm an old fogey and she won't use her mn much day to day!

AliceMorgan25 · 22/09/2017 22:04

Sounding like Violet Elizabeth wouldn't bother me at all!

Thank you for the replies. Seems that Violet Olivia is preferred Smile

Violet Elizabeth was actually her whole name though.

Most people aren't going to know that Violet's middle name is Olivia.

LeonoraFlorence · 22/09/2017 22:07

I prefer Violet Olivia. Both beautiful :)

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/09/2017 22:17

Violet Olivia

SuperBeagle · 23/09/2017 01:20

Violet Olivia.

It's just a bit less popular. Smile

Beautiful name either way, and congrats!

LostwithSawyer · 23/09/2017 22:26

Both are lovely. Don't think too much into the whole" they'll be x amount in one class"
There's only 4 Olivia's in the whole primary school here and 2 Violets.

Both beautiful names but Livi is better than Vi if it's shortened.
