DS has a girl in his class who is called Eye-Za-Bella. I've heard the teacher call it out and the Mum say her name. I'm just being really nosy and want to know if it's Isabella but just pronounced differently (which surely has got to be a PITA every time they meet someone new) or is it a European pronunciation with a different spelling?

I don't think it's a foreign variant. Perhaps it's spelt Ysabella, though that's usually pronounced the same as Isabella.

Is she from the Deep South (America not the uk)?

There was an Eye-Sah-Bella (pronounced, spelled Isabella) in hospital when I had Dd3 - her parents were Spanish speaking South American
