I love Alexander! Also Alex and Xander.

MrsTerryPratchett · 22/09/2017 03:27

Exactly what I was going to say. I love all of the variations of Alexander.

user1234566 · 22/09/2017 03:31

Theodore

SuperBeagle · 22/09/2017 04:23

William.

Because I love the nickname Billy.

RoryItsSnowing · 22/09/2017 05:01

Theodore.

As if there aren't enough Alexanders and Williams around.

Needalifeoverhaul · 22/09/2017 05:26

I love Alexander...Xander for short!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 22/09/2017 05:29

William for Will.

Alexander is lovely

Not keen on Theodore

HeteronormativeHaybales · 22/09/2017 05:30

All fine names. Theodore having a bit of a moment atm. I think I'd go for William.

(I love Alexander, and Alex is OK (prefer Al or Sandy myself), but do not at all get the current love for 'Xander'. It's horrible!).

EveryoneTalkAboutPopMusic · 22/09/2017 06:01

Anything but William. It's hard to move around here without bumping into 3 Williams at any one time.

howthelightgetsin · 22/09/2017 06:35

I know William is so popular, but Will is such a great name.

pipilangstrumpf · 22/09/2017 07:08

I dislike Will (it’s a verb) and Willy! So that would rule out William for me.

I like Alexander best.

chipscheeseandgravy · 22/09/2017 07:12

Not so keen on Theodore, Alexander is nice (dp's name, although I despise the name Xander as NN)

Personally I would go for William. (This was on my name list :)) timeless and not one of this odd faddy celebrity names.

ChocolateCrunch · 22/09/2017 07:37

Theodore, but I like Theo better, or as nn.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 22/09/2017 08:22

Alexander/Xander, or William/Will.
Theo, as a stand alone name.

SleepingStandingUp · 22/09/2017 08:24

William is soooo popular atm and there's alwqya the Willy risk.

Love Theodore nn Theo or Teddy
Like Alexander nn Alex or Ally or Xandee

early30smum · 22/09/2017 09:43

Love them all! Would probably pick William out of the 3.

FindTheLightSwitchDarren · 22/09/2017 10:14
  1. Alexander (love, but not keen on Xander as a shortening)
  2. William (love and like all shortenings other than Willy)
  3. Theodore (not keen on Teddy or Theo, but I do like Ted and the full name)
Nonameyet1 · 22/09/2017 10:35

Too many Theodores, other two lovely!

EllaHen · 22/09/2017 10:38

Alexander - so many nicknames. Alex, Sandy, Lex, Al, Xander

Don't like William. At all.

Theodore is nice. Like Theo.

Sophronia · 22/09/2017 10:46

William. Not keen on Theodore.

dragonwood · 22/09/2017 11:35

Thank you. Isn't it funny, Theodore is the least used? (@Nonameyet1)

Just seems Really popular in our area, South west. It's a good name though so can see why.

MrsMargeSimpson · 22/09/2017 12:06

I have an Alexander, his shortening is mentioned only once here (not Xander but I do quite like it). He’s never Alex. It’s incredibly versatile and although on the rise we don’t know many his age (he’s 6).
Not keen on William as there seems to be many more of those and ‘Willy.’ Kids will take anything and use it to bully of course but this is handed to them on a plate.
Theodore is nice, I like Theo too. Not keen on Ted, know millions of those too!

CakeRattleandRoll · 22/09/2017 14:55

Theodore

Twofishfingers · 22/09/2017 14:59

I have a William, we used to call him Billy when he was little but when he started school he decided he was William.

Alexander will get shortened, almost automatically I think. Theodore will be Theo. So it depends if you are happy with the shortened version.

Obviously I like William best! But Theo second. Not keen on Alex.
