I've just seen something pop up on Facebook and seems the new baby is called Roar ... is this a name now? I thought it was a noise

I think it's a Norwegian name.

MammieBear · 21/09/2017 15:19

Could be short for rory

Swearwolf · 21/09/2017 15:21

It's Norwegian! It's pronounced like roh-arr.

PoppyPopcorn · 21/09/2017 16:14

Fine if the parents are Norwegian, mix with Norwegians and live in Norway.

You cannot expect most people in the UK to think anything other than Lion.

kaytee87 · 21/09/2017 16:33

They're not Norwegian, nor do they have any connections to norway as far as I know
