What are your thoughts on Naomi for a girl?

Lovely. Just be aware that people pronounce it slightly differently...

NIGH-oh-me

Like it. I know 3 "nay-OH-mee", and one "NAY-uh-mee" (all lovely). I've also heard people say the first syllable like "NYE" though. I think all the different possible pronunciations would bother me, but it may not be a problem for you.

I love it! I have a friend Nay-oh-mi. Hated it growing up but she says she's happy to have a more unusual name now? X

I hated it growing up. Now I hate that people a) can't spell it b) think that there is any way on earth that it can be said NYE omi. How the fuck does Nao make a NYE sound?
On reflection, my issue is with stupid people more than the name. :)

I love it! I want to use it for DD if we have one.

NIGH-Oh-mi and Nigh-OH-mi are not ok
