Middle name for Leo?

grouchymamabear · 20/09/2017 11:16

Struggling to come up with a middle name for our DS Leo who is due in November...

I find myself spending time every day looking for inspiration (books, lists, watching the credits on TV/movies, etc) with not much luck...

So hoping some of you might be able to offer some ideas to get the ball rolling! Smile

Thanks in advance!

I love Leo James. If DD had been a boy, this could well have been the name that we would have chosen.

What's a name that is meaningful to you? Family name or friends name? Place name? Character in a book/film that is special to you and DP? Go for something that means something to you rather than just a name that sounds nice with Leo (unless it's completely ridiculous of course...don't call him Leo Stoke-on-Trent Smith or something!)

Leo John
Leo David
Leo Simon

I never understood why people feel that they must give their child a middl name. If you don't have a name you like just use first name and surname

Thank you all, those are all lovely suggestions!

Alexandra - both me and my DP come from families where our middle names form a big part of our day-to-day identities so it's not so much about wanting a middle name just for the sake of having one, it's having that extension of a name if that makes sense? I appreciate that middle names might not be right for everyone and some may even think they are pointless but ultimately it is what we want for our DS so see no harm in getting suggestions from others if it helps lead us to the right one. Smile

I immediately thought James

But I did laugh at the PP who suggested 'the lion' Grin

SuckingEggs · 20/09/2017 14:50

James was my instant reaction.

Threeandabit · 20/09/2017 18:07

Leo Eugene

I have a Leo James.

It's lovely to hear that so many people like it!

outofmymind2 · 20/09/2017 22:20

Leo is my DS too Grin

Bit of an 'out' but his middle name is Ellis. I think it flows perfectly!
I also liked Oscar!

My DS calls himself Leo the lion Grin
