How would you pronounce it? Nela or Neela?

gummibaers · 19/09/2017 08:01

I've never heard it before

EdithWeston · 19/09/2017 08:01

Never heard of a blasted princess knight.

I'd spell it Nella, for a free-standing name (rather than nn for Helen/a or Petronella)

ContraryToPopularBelief · 19/09/2017 08:03

Neela is so much nicer imo.

TonicAndTonic · 19/09/2017 08:07

Never heard of the princess knight! From that spelling I wouldn't be sure how to pronounce it. Suggest Neela/Nella/Nayla to make it more obvious?
Mind you I used to know a Neela and she hated her name.

SuperBeagle · 19/09/2017 08:17

No idea how to pronounce it, and I have no idea what the princess knight is.

PopadomPointer · 19/09/2017 08:20

There's a program on tv called 'nella the princess knight'Grin

Sounds like a Nn for Helena or Petronella

MonkeyJumping · 19/09/2017 09:07

Are you saying it nee-la or neh-la?

Neh-la sounds like a nickname to me, I think you'd constantly be asked what it's short for.

There's a character in futurama called neela so it's maybe better known as a standalone name.

stellarfox · 19/09/2017 09:23

Not heard it before. It's ok but I prefer Nyla

Lemondrop99 · 19/09/2017 11:21

Short for Penelope?

SkintAsASkintThing · 19/09/2017 11:21

Sounds like a female cast member of the young ones......Neela looks much nicer. As does Aneela.

PopadomPointer · 19/09/2017 17:14

SkintAsASkintThing

I know a Nela - she's the cutest little thing, so it reminds me of her and I like it. Smile

Oysterbabe · 19/09/2017 18:50

Phoebe001 · 01/10/2017 21:43
