Liliana - thoughts?

Trying to agree a name for DD3 - a real struggle as each used 6 names with other DDs. What do you think of Liliana? Harsh (or otherwise) you like!

I prefer Lily. I know a 7 year old Liliana, who's known as Lily (I think her friends in particular find 'Liliana' difficult to say!).

I prefer Lilia but you'll get some who say it reminds them of sanitary products

Say the name out loud a few times - that's how my friend has discounted several names. She liked them in her head but when she said them daily for a week or so soon went off them

I prefer Liliana to Lily, which is lacking a degree of gravitas, for my taste. I know someone called Lilias, which I also like.

My niece is called this, gets shortened to Lili inevitably but very pretty name.

Lily is timeless, classic and beautiful.
Lilliana, in my opinion, without being unkind, is a bit much and too frilly.

What sort of sibling names have you gone for? It is a lovely name you might like Lillia as well it's a Russian name.

I don't really like Liliana.

I don't watch Dance Moms...
One.but problem is that I don't actually like ,Lily but I can see its unavoidable that people will shortened to that.

I really like the name Lilliana. I have only met one Lilliana, she served me in a shop when I was pregnant with ds2 this year. At the time I didn't know if bump was a girl or boy and I had such an emotional response to her name that I started crying!

It has four syllables, so matches the names of your other DC. I probably do find it a bit frilly for my taste, but, as I said earlier, I prefer it to Lily. I like Lilian and Lilias more.

I am not keen on Lily but I think Liliana is lovely.
