One of my daughters is Honor and I till love the name. We generally get good comments although the occasional misspelling as Honour...she was born just before Frozen came out so a few people have misheard it as 'Anna' !

I think Honor Madeleine works well!

I love it 💗
Jessica Alba (American actress) has a daughter named Honor and I think it's beautiful, her name is Honor Marie and I think Honor Madeline sounds lovely too

It's Honor because it's Latin. Educated people know this (and I judge those that don't).

My DD is Honor and the name gets so many compliments. People do misspell it all of the time but it's not a problem and I wouldn't let that put you off.

We do get "Anna" a lot probably because of frozen, but I think that just amuses DD. It doesn't take long to say H.O.N.O.R - it rolls off the tongue.

And Honor Blackman is such a cool role model! Older people say"oooh Honor Blackman!" And nod approvingly!

I congratulate myself every day for choosing such an elegant name for my DD.

"Educated people know this!" (hmm) I never did Latin and I know this. I'm uneducated and this is precisely the kind of thing I know. And a million other things that won't help me find employment. Like Socrates I know I know nothing but nothing is relative! Information is not secret. The educated don't have a monopoly on it!

So I dont think it's education. Some people just do not care about names. They just pick one that popped in to their head and believe they were inspired, not a predictable bit part of a much wider consciousness.

Liadain I love that Ross O'Carroll-Kelly's daughter is called Honor! She is 11 I think. 11 years ago it was achingly cool and just what Sorcha would have chosen.

Ross's son from when he was young is called Ro-Ro :D

I like it. The one I know is 20ish and pronounces it with the H which seems very wrong tho!

Educated people know this! I never did Latin and I DIDN'T know this. I also didn't know we were now judging people's educational level entirely on their ability to spell Latin-derived names. Hmm

I judge people who judge people based on their perceived interpretation of intelligence.

Honor is nice enough, it's one of the nicer virtue names imo. I only know of one (60 ish)

I like it - timeless and simple. And Honor Blackman. I don't think born-again Christian at all.
