Cv straight in the bin.

Sounds like a born again Christian preachers daughters name.

bigbluedustbin · 17/09/2017 03:11

Cv straight in the bin.

Because of a name that the person had no choice in? Really?

BeBeatrix · 17/09/2017 03:14

Love it.

Never come across it at church yet Grin, but it's beautiful, dignified, traditional and unusual.

saffronwblue · 17/09/2017 03:18

Love it. Went to school with one who was very clever and thoughtful.

ummlilia · 17/09/2017 03:23

It makes me think of Honor Blackman of The Avengers (and Pussy Galore in Goldfinger). I don't dislike it but don't love it either.

SerfTerf · 17/09/2017 03:27

Really nice.

I'm getting elegant, vintage "virtue name" vibes (Grace, Clemency, Verity, Faith, Patience) from it, not a born-again feeling at all.

CV straight in the bin for lack of correct punctuation.

Apostrophes are important.

Juanbablo · 17/09/2017 04:23

I love it.

user1492670647 · 17/09/2017 05:27

Thanks for all the constructive responses. It being a virtue name, it can be viewed as a bit stuffy to some, but I love the name not because it's a virtue so much but because it's really such a simple, timeless name that can suit so many personalities! What do you think of the middle name choice and do you have any suggestions?

I think Honor Madeleine is lovely.

TheDowagerCuntess · 17/09/2017 06:57

Beautiful name. Honor Blackman comes to mind, too.

Wow, tellmyfriends, way to come across really badly!

Honor
Yika · 17/09/2017 07:01

Honor is beautiful, elegant. Goes well with Madeleine.

Itsgoodforthegarden · 17/09/2017 07:04

Honour Blackman is gorgeous!
Hard to shorten it.
It's a litre American sounding.
Goes with Madeliene.
I think I might swap them round though.. Madeline Honour?

Itsgoodforthegarden · 17/09/2017 07:05

(A little - not litre!)

BoredOnMatLeave · 17/09/2017 07:07

I would prefer Madeline Honour. I don't hate Honour I just don't think it sounds like a first name.

StarkintheSouth · 17/09/2017 07:14

It's gorgeous. Classic and elegant. Not a massive fan of Madeleine personally but it does 'scan' well.

wheredoesallthetimego · 17/09/2017 07:16

Wouldn't it be Honour if you're in the UK?

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 17/09/2017 07:19

Love it

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 17/09/2017 07:19

No, it's Honor. Spelt like that in the U.K.

Sodaface · 17/09/2017 07:20

I love it. There's a dork in DDS class called Honor & everytime I hear it I think it's such a cool name. Especially when I hear it paired with her siblings unusual names.

Sodaface · 17/09/2017 07:21

Lol @ dork.... sorry about that!
